Admission of Newborn Visitors

  • In intensive care units, to protect patients from infection risk, only one visitor from each patient's immediate family is allowed to visit for a limited time throughout the day. Visiting priority is given to first-degree relatives.
  • Visiting hours in Neonatal Intensive Care Units are between 10:00 – 11:00 and 17:00 – 18:00 every day.
  • Considering the critical health condition of infants, visits are permitted only to first-degree relatives (parents) with the approval of the intensive care unit doctor or nurse. Child visitors are not permitted.
  • Please inform the information desk on the hospital ground floor which intensive care unit and which patient you wish to visit. The information desk officer will call the relevant intensive care unit to obtain approval from the patient's doctor or nurse and direct you to the intensive care unit with a permission slip.
  • Contact the intensive care unit secretary and arrange a meeting to provide information to the relevant intensive care unit.
  • You must wear the visitor's gown at the intensive care unit entrance.
  • Before entering the intensive care area, wash your hands with soap and water and then dry them.
  • Before touching your baby, use the hand sanitizer located near the incubator.
  • If deemed appropriate by your baby's intensive care nurse, you may participate in your baby's feeding process under the nurse's supervision. However, in case of emergency, you may need to leave the intensive care unit earlier.
  • When your baby's general health condition is appropriate, you can have contact under the supervision of a nurse.
  • All telephone numbers for reaching the intensive care unit, along with telephone conversation and visitation hours, can be obtained from the relevant intensive care unit secretary, information desk officer, or nurse.
  • You can obtain information regarding the patient's needs from the intensive care unit nurse in charge or the patient's nurse; and information regarding the patient's medical condition from the patient's doctor.
  • During your visit, you must not speak loudly or record images of your patient or the intensive care area using your phone.
  • At the end of each visit, wash your hands with soap and water or clean them using hand sanitizer.
  • At the end of your visit, remove your visitor's gown and hand it to the nurse or secretary.
