Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit
About
Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit is a specialized department that carries out stem cell transplantation procedures for the treatment of serious hematologic diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and certain inherited blood disorders.
Autologous transplantation (using the patient’s own stem cells) and allogeneic transplantation (using stem cells from a compatible donor) are planned according to the type and characteristics of the disease.
The transplantation process includes a comprehensive eligibility assessment, high-dose conditioning therapy, stem cell infusion, and close monitoring to manage infection risks and other potential complications. The primary goal is to restore healthy bone marrow function, control the disease, and achieve long-term remission and recovery.
